The Ski season in New Zealand goes from June through to October. There are many fantastic skifields all within a few hours drive of Christchurch.
Try out Mount Hutt or give one of our club fields a go. There are eleven club skifields all within three hours drive of Christchurch and they tend to be less crowded than the larger commercial skifields.
The Chill website is a fantastic resource for skiing the club fields in the Canterbury region.
Only one and a half hours drive from Christchurch you can easily get to Porters Pass, Mt Cheeseman, Broken River or Craigieburn valley.
If your going skiing with the family or a larger group check out our Minibuses and Coaches. Driving along the Canterbury Plains and amongst the beautiful foothills of Canterbury and your at Mt Olympus, Mt Lyford, Temple Basin, or Hanmer Springs.
Just a little further afield and you will reach the foot of the skifields in Fox Peak, Mt Dobson or Roundhill.
When driving in winter always check the weather conditions before leaving and be aware that all ski fields require vehicles to carry chains. It's not fun having to leave your vehicle at the top of a skifield because the weather has changed, yes, it has happened.
